My work features a tableau of figures depicting those who earned their living in the fishing industry in Morecombe, at the turn of the 20th century. The figures were created using a dry needle felting technique.
My inspiration came from the Maritime Museum's large collection of photographs and artefacts. Many of the photographs depict several generations of local fishing families, working together, cockling and shrimping.
